C-10 Podcast: Kathy Nelson, Ep. 7

This week we’re joined by Kathy Nelson, who is perhaps the most influential person in the overall landscape of sports in Kansas City. Kathy spent several years in the media with Fox4 and Time Warner Cable/Metro Sports, before joining the Kansas City Sports Commission in August of 2010 as the Director of Win for KC. She became the Sports Commission’s President/CEO in November of 2011.

Kathy’s involved with countless boards throughout the city and has won numerous awards locally and nationally, from Emmys to the Dancing with the Kansas City Stars grand champion. The list goes on and on.

Besides hearing from Kathy, longtime Fox4 sports anchor and C-10 mentor Al Wallace joins us as co-host, along with one of our C-10 students, Carmen.
